The Business Analyst is the bridge between Finance stakeholders and TM1 Engineering: it translates finance reporting requirements and model logic into technical specifications, coordinates implementation, and owns user acceptance testing. Duration: 9 Months Position Overview Dedicated build capacity to lead the onboarding of forecasting models (Promo Sign Ups, Subscription Churn, Total Customers) into a financial forecasting platform built in TM1 and Apliqo, produce documentation for each model build and improvement, and establish a repeatable model-onboarding framework. The Business Analyst is the bridge between Finance stakeholders and TM1 Engineering: it translates finance reporting requirements and model logic into technical specifications, coordinates implementation, and owns user acceptance testing. Key Responsibilities Gather and document finance reporting requirements from Finance stakeholders; translate into technical specifications for TM1/Apliqo implementation. Define data requirements and source-data contracts for each model; identify gaps between Finance Excel model requirements and current system capabilities and propose solutions within TM1/Apliqo constraints. Wireframe and propose UI/UX for how forecast adjustments are executed, so users reach only the adjustments they need to make, with full reporting after updates. Partner with TM1 Engineering to design, build, test, and deploy Finance model updates to the TM1/Apliqo implementation. Define and execute UAT plans; validate that cube changes produce expected, financially correct outputs before production release. Document business rules, calculation logic, and data lineage for the onboarded forecasting dimensions. Identify gaps in the platform's validation checks and work with TM1/Apliqo, Data Science, and Data Engineering teams to close them. Trace metric discrepancies across reporting surfaces back to pipeline- or cube-level root causes. Own the TM1 Engineering ticket queue end-to-end (intake, tracking, closure), prioritizing existing strategic work against new issues by business priority in partnership with the Finance team. Required Skills 4 to 6 years as a Business or Systems Analyst in finance systems or enterprise planning tools. Direct experience translating business requirements into technical specifications for engineering teams. Demonstrated ability to assess existing business processes and design improved workflows, including wireframing and UI/UX proposals. Advanced Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, scenario analysis). Working knowledge of SQL; able to query relational databases to validate data and trace lineage. Experience with UAT planning and execution. Strong written and verbal communication. Preferred Skills Experience with TM1, Planning Analytics, or Apliqo. Familiarity with ETL pipelines and data warehouse concepts (Redshift, or similar). Familiarity with FP&A concepts (forecasting, actuals vs. plan variance, dimensional modeling). Experience in media, streaming, or subscription business models.
