Mechanical Engineer III

Security clearance is not required, but preferred. Drafters will require specific direction, engineers will check them. Engineers will be more self sufficient and dictate to the drafters about the drawing needed and do GDT.

Mechanical Engineers that have minimum of 3-5 years experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD) (required), ideally with SolidWorks (preferred) experience. Temp employees will be preparing formal engineering drawings on drawing template under the guidance of a senior engineer.

Drawings will be created from on-hand parts, photographs, engineering sketches, and working prototype parts and assemblies, using a standard drawing template.

Typical parts will include mechanical parts, electrical cables and connectors, and outline-and-installation drawings for electrical circuit card assemblies.

Engineers and drafters will require some knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and experience with mechanical, electric, electronic, and electro-mechanical parts and assemblies.
