Direct Support Professional

Full-Time, Hourly $12.00/hour, $18.00/hour with Premium Pay (weekend shifts)

Up to $800 referral bonus

New Full-Time 3-Day Work Week Schedules with Premium Pay Available! Come work a full-time job and have 4 days off!

We have several shifts and schedules to meet your needs. T hese are general options, but we have a lot of variety within these:?

• Shifts : Days: 7am-7pm, 8am-8pm, 9am-9pm & Nights: 7pm-7am, 8pm-8am, 9pm-9am
• Schedules : Sun/Mon/Tue and Thu/Fri/Sat
• 12-hour work shifts allow for full-time work and up to 16 days off per month! You can have more than half the year off, but still work full-time, OR we allow and encourage you to pick up additional shifts!
• We also have limited traditional Monday through Friday positions and part-time weekend shifts.

Since A New Leaf was founded in 1979, our mission has been to provide job training, life skills and residential services to elevate confident independence and self-sufficiency for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism.

This position is a companion to individuals with developmental disabilities and assist them in acquiring daily living skills. Providing daily support which includes but not limited to: personal care, daily meal preparation, medication administration, daily activities, transportation, and continued focus on implementation of individualized objectives.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to drive, have and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
• Must always have and maintain car insurance coverage.
• American Sign Language - ASL - preferred
• Must be able to pass a state and federal background check.
• Must maintain eligibility to operate agency vehicles.
• Physical capacities must include bending, stooping, lifting at least 40 pounds, and the ability to lift, transfer, and position individuals served.
• Must be able to work with frequent interruptions, deal with diverse personalities during difficult/sometimes stressful situations and still complete job assignments.
• Must be able to communicate orally, both over the phone and face-to-face.
• Must be able to prepare and read written documentation as well as perform and understand basic mathematical functions.
• Must follow policy and procedures of A New Leaf, Inc.
• Ensures all individuals served are safe in their environment and program participation.
• Must fulfill all training and in-service requirements necessary to work with individuals served within the timeframe required by A New Leaf, Inc. and the State of Oklahoma.
