Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients on the medical/surgical unit, with attention to adolescent, adult, and geriatric ages.
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver care, including vital signs, medication administration, and monitoring for physiological changes and psychosocial needs.
- Develop and implement care plans, perform ongoing assessments, document patient status, and adjust care as needed.
- Orient to supervising and delegating certain tasks to ancillary personnel (e.g., CNAs) within their scope of practice.
- Support discharge planning and patient/family education, ensuring safe transitions and continuity of care.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California (or eligibility) to practice in the state.
- Ability to work 3x12-night shifts in a hospital Med/Surg setting.
- Capacity to care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients; strong assessment and care-planning skills.
- Proficiency in recognizing changes in patient condition and communicating with the interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated teamwork and the ability to collaborate with CNAs and other staff within scope of practice.
