Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Day/Night Rotation (3x12-Hour Shifts) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within an oncology unit in a teaching hospital environment
• Work a day/night rotation schedule; rotation will not occur within the same week but may occur across a 4-week schedule period
• Document patient care and clinical information using Epic
• Float to other units or facilities within the system as needed, provided requisite job specifications are met
• Complete all required non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience (firm requirement)
• Previous travel assignment experience required — first-time travelers are not accepted
• Teaching hospital experience required
• 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
• All University of California medical facility employment history, including acquired facilities, must be disclosed with dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of offer; RTO cannot fall within the first two weeks of the assignment start date
• Local candidates are accepted and are subject to the same terms as travel candidates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Telemetry experience
• Ostomy care experience
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification preferred
