Azure/Data Platform Engineer

F2 is in need of a contractor with Azure/Data Platform experience. This is a six month remote engagement starting ASAP, with the opportunity to transition to FTE. We will only consider candidates interested in potential FTE. They will be assigned to helping a client on the East Coast (working hours in EST, open to all candidates). In order to be eligible for this role, consultant must be authorized to work in US without sponsorship now or in the future, as they see this as an ongoing need at other clients. This is for one of their Wealth Mgmt clients where they have an OCTO agreement in place (outsourced CTO). They need to have some exposure to financial services, ideally in wealth management, so they can understand the terminology and domain when speaking to the end client. The client is brand new to Azure, so they will be implementing the Platform (PaaS). Understanding AD is a small piece to the puzzle, but will help when they're migrating over the IAM. Heavy work in DB migrations. Would be great if they can build out dashboards. Low coding, not much scripting (but will be automating API calls, etc.). Setup the environment to promote the code; no full CI/CD integration, but that could be something they implement down the road. In a nutshell establish the platform, test, then build from there. Nice to haves would be experience integrating 3rd part apps like Salesforce, document mgmt tools, AI, etc.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced data platform engineer to help our team implement strategic data platforms for one or more client engagements. Terrific candidates for this role will have strength and alignment with the following:

• Required Technology Experience:
• Proven consulting and/or project experience delivering strategy and transformational initiatives
• Ability to design, build, and implement Microsoft Azure Cloud solutions (required). Would prefer candidate has experience with multiple technologies (AWS, Oracle, etc.) however Azure experience is a requirement.
• Experience migrating on-prem databases and ETL to Azure cloud
• Experience with Azure Data Lake, SQL database, Data Factory, data pipelines, storage options, API integration
• Database developer experience. DDL/DML. Write and edit complicated queries.
