RN Staff NurseAs an RN Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for the organization, coordination, and evaluation of direct nursing care for assigned patients. PRN as needed position.Shift Differentials:Weekday Nights - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 7:00 pm - 7:00 am - $3.00 per hourWeekend Days - Saturday, Sunday - 7:00 am - 7:00 pm - $3.50 per hourWeekend Nights - Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 7:00 pm - 7:00 am - $5.00 per hourEssential Job Function:Supervise, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing careAdminister medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effectsConduct daily patient visits to assess physical and emotional statusPerform routine skin assessments and wound documentationMaintain accurate, detailed documentation in the electronic medical recordReview and transcribe physician orders as neededParticipate in interdisciplinary care conferencesCoordinate discharge planning and provide patient/family educationAdvocate for patients and assist in resolving care-related concernsMaintain strict adherence to HIPAA and patient confidentiality standardsParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and assigned committeesReview incident reports and implement acute temporary care plansSupport resolution of patient nutritional concernsComplete required continuing education and in-service trainingRequirementsMinimum Required Education/Experience: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited learning institution. Minimum of three years work experience in direct nursing care is preferred.Pre-Employment Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:• Demonstrated knowledge, skill and understanding of nurse role in a critical care facility.• Knowledge of gerontology, rehabilitative or psychiatric nursing.• Ability to operate general office equipment including computer software applications (e-mail, surveillance equipment/cameras, scheduling software, accessing required documents).• Demonstrated ability to recognize and respond to opportunities for improvement through continual learning, changes in approach based on situation and professional practice behavior.• Knowledge of care-based practices (creating care plans, leading team meetings).• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, other agencies, employees and administration.Note: An acceptable combination of education, training and experience that provides the above knowledge, abilities and skills may be substituted.Necessary Special Requirements: Must obtain annual flu vaccination and any job-specific immunizations. Required to complete Tuberculosis testing/screening.Licenses or Certificates: Valid state license as an RN.
