We are currently looking for the right retail assistant store manager to join our team. $13.00 to $19.00 per hour We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply! Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $14.37 per hour on top of your hourly rate. Most stores open at 9 AM and close at 6 PM; many stores are closed on Sundays. Our Earned Wage Access program is available to all employees on the second (2nd) day of employment. VACATION: Employees are granted one week of paid vacation after completing six months of active, full-time service. Eligible employees receive an additional week (40 hours) after completing one year, and two weeks (80 hours) on each anniversary thereafter (120 hours after five years, adjusted for local requirements). SICK/PERSONAL: Eligible employees receive 8 hours after six months, and 16 hours on each anniversary thereafter (24 hours after five years, adjusted for local requirements). Access to the FirstCash Pet Insurance program. Position Summary We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six (6+) months of management/third‑level experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for day‑to‑day operations, promoting a positive and productive environment, and partnering with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, and maximize financial goals. The Assistant Store Manager analyzes store financial statements, commits to the company’s asset protection program, promotes the business, and targets new customer acquisitions. All associates work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. This position offers an hourly wage; Assistant Store Managers also earn commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Pay is based on location, qualifications, and experience. Responsibilities Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues. Monitor and assist in the training of pawnbrokers to meet company standards. Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company‑prescribed channels. Open and close the store, count cash drawers and merchandise, and ensure all procedures are followed to protect assets. Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans. Administer store processes and procedures, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise‑level reporting. Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting. Ensure that operating standards meet or exceed FirstCash standards. Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure the value and integrity of all loans issued. Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development as requested. Communicate clearly with employees to ensure they understand the store’s mission and profit objectives. Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge. Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager. Other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Must be willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting (up to 50 pounds). Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others. Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified. May be asked to assist a customer on the exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas. Minimum age: 18 years old. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Must be able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate. Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays. Will work 40+ hours a week; hours are based on business needs and are not guaranteed. Computer literate with experience operating point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and common office machines. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills. Analytical skills. Cash handling experience is required. Commission Plan Information The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash.
