Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position at a Level 1 Trauma Center requiring ACLS and PALS certifications.

Details

• Work in a 40-bed Emergency Department at a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Treat all patient populations including geriatric, adult, and pediatric emergency cases
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Uses Epic EHR system
• Varied shift schedule with shift preference discussed during interview
• Weekend hours required on an every-other-weekend basis
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Trauma and critical care experience preferred
• Basic nursing skills required
• Must be a team player
• PA-specific clearances required including Child Abuse History Clearance, Department of Human Services Fingerprinting, FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting, and PATCH PA State Police Clearance
• Drug screen within 90 days accepted
• MMR declinations not accepted

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across a full range of patient populations and acute conditions
• Facility is a tertiary care regional referral hospital known for clinical excellence
• Any scrub color is acceptable
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate
• Candidates who have worked perm staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Local candidates may be considered at the local rate
