Senior Business Operations Analyst - hybrid

Builders FirstSource is America’s largest supplier of building materials, value‑added components and building services to the professional market. The role is a hybrid position with three days onsite in our Corporate Irving office and two days remote. Responsibilities Provide monthly and quarterly data support to internal stakeholders for public financial reporting and performance purposes. Provide business solutions using data‑driven analytics. Serve as a resource for corporate leadership, field operations, and various corporate functions in variance analysis, financial planning/modeling, metrics reporting, and business development. Act as a liaison between the business and IT regarding data quality, master data management, systems implementation, and process improvement. Other duties may be assigned. Supervisor Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Requirements Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of directly related experience in an analytical, decision support, or reporting role using SQL or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in SQL Server Management Studio, SQL query language, including stored procedures and table creation and maintenance. Working knowledge of MicroStrategy, Power BI, or a similar business intelligence tool. Working knowledge of R, Python, SAS, or a similar analytics tool. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate formulas, pivot tables, VBA, and MS Query in Excel. Preferred working knowledge of Hyperion Smart View or a similar financial system. Home‑building industry experience is a plus. Competencies Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Comfortable managing and interpreting large datasets from disparate systems. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to manage and prioritize workflow effectively. Desire to improve existing processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Work Environment / Physical Activity Typical office environment and outside locations with temperature and weather variations. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and, on occasion, up to 80 pounds.
