Electro-Mechanical Wiring Assembler (Amphenol, MCC/IO) — North Houston

This opportunity supports a North Houston production team delivering high-quality electrical assemblies.

Own the details that make industrial systems work. From panel layouts and harness builds to meticulous labeling and test prep, you’ll ensure every connection meets spec and every product is ready for service.

• Master the product prints—wiring diagrams, P&IDs, schematics, and BOMs—and plan efficient builds.
• Drill, tap, and mount components; route conductors for clarity, access, and safety.
• Assemble and terminate Amphenol connectors with precise pin insertion for gas turbine applications.
• Execute terminations in control panels and MCC/IO cabinets: strip, ferrule, label, and route with discipline.
• Prepare units for final testing: assist with testing and calibration; troubleshoot wiring issues to root cause.
• Trim/adjust components to meet exact electrical and dimensional targets.
• Apply proper tools and techniques to terminate per diagrams; learn to pack glands with Kopex.
• Partner closely with the Team Lead and engineering to resolve quality or procedural questions and to fine-tune throughput.
• Document quality checks; uphold safety and 5S standards; take on additional tasks as assigned.

• 2–4 years of hands-on electrical assembly experience preferred; related experience considered.
• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Comfort with basic math and fractions.

• Frequent standing, sitting, walking, and kneeling; frequent use of hands and fingers; frequent talking/hearing.
• Frequent climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crawling.
• Occasional work near moving mechanical parts; occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals.
• Frequent exposure to outside weather; moderate noise environment.
• Occasionally lift/move over 30 lbs unassisted.
• Occasionally operate specialized equipment such as forklifts, manlifts, scissor lifts, and overhead cranes.
