Electrical Project Manager

Electrical Project Managers report to a Division Manager and are responsible for the management, performance and completion of assigned projects in accordance with the policies and procedures of the company. Ideal candidates possess in-depth knowledge of installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials within the commercial construction industry. Appropriate remarks and attitude towards past employers and clients. Production Accountable for monitoring:

• Problems relating to safety on the project and job security for material, tools and equipment.
• Problems relating to storage facilities.
• Monthly Job Productivity Reports.
• Productivity of assigned jobs/work orders.
• Jobs/work orders to assure they are being done in the most efficient and economical manner.
• Wage rates, labor, training and supervision of assigned jobs/work orders.
• Personnel management to ensure employees start and stop work on time.
• Fleet management (Number of trucks being driven to a work site).
• Storage facilities on job sites.
• Use, coordination and supply of division tools, trucks and equipment.

Working Conditions Majority of work is performed in office environment. Visits to job sites require exposure to all elements (heat, cold, rain, snow), depending on time of year and job location. Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns). Wear personal protective equipment as required in Safety Handbook. Able to work 40 hours per week and any overtime as required including night shifts, and out-of-town jobs if needed. Skills Plan, direct, and coordinate an entire activity or the activities of others. Must be able to make transition from employee parking area or street into construction work areas and to gain access to all levels of the building, even if the only means of access is by O.S.H.A. approved site construction ladder, or stairs still under construction but acceptable for use.
