Associate Attorney - Alternative Asset Opportunities

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced associate attorney with 2 to 6 years of legal experience for its Alternative Asset Opportunities practice group in Boston. The role involves advising on bespoke and complex transactions across alternative asset classes, including private equity, credit, real estate, venture capital, and infrastructure, representing sophisticated institutional investors globally. Duties Advise clients on complex transactions involving alternative asset classes. Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents such as purchase and partnership agreements. Conduct due diligence and risk assessment for various transactions. Provide legal advice on regulatory and compliance matters related to alternative assets. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive legal solutions. Represent clients in negotiations, ensuring their interests are protected. Assist in structuring and executing secondary market transactions. Advise on fund formation and structuring for private equity and venture capital funds. Stay current with industry trends and legal developments affecting alternative assets. Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication. Mentor and supervise junior attorneys, providing guidance for their professional development. Participate in business development activities, including client presentations and networking events. Prepare and present legal opinions and memoranda on complex legal issues. Requirements 2 to 6 years of legal experience in alternative asset transactions. Strong knowledge of private equity, credit, real estate, venture capital, and infrastructure. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication abilities. Sharp analytical and problem‑solving skills. High level of professionalism and ability to work effectively within a team. Education J.D. degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction. Skills Strong client relationship management. Effective communication and service delivery.
