Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Texas
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department or emergency nursing experience
• Required Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Strong critical care, airway management, and emergency resuscitation skills
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced emergency department
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment
• ENPC certification preferred
• Ultrasound-guided IV experience preferred

Emergency Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients across a range of acuity levels
• Perform rapid patient assessments, prioritize care, and respond to changing clinical conditions
• Support airway management, emergency resuscitation, and critical care interventions
• Assist with procedural sedation, chest tube care, wound care, and splinting
• Use clinical equipment including Belmont, SonoSite ultrasound, Arctic Sun, Bair Hugger, and Lucas devices as appropriate
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, technicians, and clinical support staff to promote efficient patient flow and positive outcomes
• Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation in Meditech
• Follow emergency nursing standards, infection prevention guidelines, and patient safety practices
• Contribute to a respectful, supportive workplace culture focused on teamwork and patient-centered care
