As part of our urology department, you will collaborate with skilled advanced practice providers (APPs) in a nurturing and cooperative atmosphere. You will have access to advanced surgical technology, comprehensive diagnostic tools, and innovative treatment options, including:

• Prostate cancer ablation techniques (IRE, cryoablation, TULSA)
• BPH ablation (Aquablation)

The ideal candidate will be involved in a wide range of urological services, which include:

• Conducting outpatient evaluations and managing urologic conditions
• Performing surgeries in a fully equipped operating room
• Managing complex urologic issues such as oncology, BPH, urolithiasis, incontinence, and reconstructive cases
• Working collaboratively with APPs to ensure efficient clinic operations and continuity of care
• Participating in multidisciplinary tumor boards and case discussions
• Sharing on-call duties fairly among team members
• Engaging in optional clinical activities at a partner institution for those seeking additional academic exposure

• Faculty appointment through the affiliated medical school, based on experience
• Active participation in training urology residents and medical students
• Opportunities for involvement in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and publications
• Access to grand rounds, visiting lectures, and continuing medical education (CME) programs
• Mentorship within a nationally recognized academic urology program

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited urology residency program
• Board certified or board eligible in Urology
• Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license (Connecticut licensure required or in process)
• U.S. citizenship is required for federal employment
• Fellowship training is advantageous but not mandatory
• A strong dedication to veteran-centered care, education, and teamwork
