Cocktail ServerAs a Cocktail Server, your core responsibility will be to execute excellent guest service in our cocktail lounge space in accordance with the food and beverage standards. You are tasked with the knowledge of all things food and beverage as part of the team. This position has many opportunities for growth within the F&B team. An ideal Cocktail Server will be able to maintain poise and guest focus during periods of high volume, have excellent interpersonal skills and participate in the execution of award winning bar service.Task and Responsibilities:Provide our guests with the best, freshest and most timely food service in the Bar. Ensure that all food is presentable, and hot (if it should be hot), cold (if it should be cold)Adhere to all governmental, DHEC, and F&B standards for sanitation, preparation, and cleanlinessAssist the Bar team, under the F&B Leadership, in all prep items, food and beverage executionAttention to detail is key while providing excellent, attentive serviceExcel in maintaining a clean and organized back bar space and lobby loungeAssist in all weekly, monthly, and quarterly cleaning objectivesCommunicate all orders to the Kitchen and Bar to fulfill guest ordersMake guests feel at home in the bar lounge and help them find seating and receive food and beverage in a timely mannerMaintain constant awareness of the BEO schedules and hotel events. When necessary with setup, breakdown from private and public eventsMaintaining clear, concise, and professional communication with Spectator Bar staff and Food and Beverage Manager / Executive Chef.Accurate and clear use of POS for guest checks and food/drink ordersBe a catalyst for implementation of existing and changing policies, strategies and ideas that are handed down by leadershipPerform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors and MODMinimum Requirements:Excellent, professional communication skillsMust possess a positive attitude and the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectivelyMust be able to work under pressure or in the presence of a large guest crowd during offered guest receptions and maintain a courteous and hospitable demeanor and attitude throughoutMust be able to maintain a courteous and hospitable demeanor and attitude towards all: guests, peers, management without regard of home department, position and/ or heritage.Must be able to handle money and make correct change while POSAbility to prioritize tasks and multi-taskAbility to easily adapt to organizational and environmental changes.Must be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidaysReport to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in regulation with company dress code policyAdhere to all regulatory, company and department policies and proceduresMove, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistanceMust be able to stand for extended periods of time
