Project Environmental Scientist, Geologist, Engineer or Hydrogeologist

Job Summary Langan is seeking a Project Environmental Scientist, Geologist, Engineer or Hydrogeologist to join its collaborative team in Doylestown, PA. This individual will manage environmental investigation and remediation projects, deliver technically excellent services, prepare technical proposals and reports, conduct environmental research and analyses, supervise field investigations, and manage staff. The role offers opportunity to develop project and staff‑management skills, interact with clients, and work on small and large‑scale projects. Job Responsibilities Manage environmental investigation and remediation projects Perform complex analyses for specific portions of broader engineering and environmental projects Supervise field activities and ensure correct interpretations of findings Manage and deliver on multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines Effectively organize, write and edit draft proposals, reports, and other documents Participate in identifying and pursuing new clients, develop additional work within existing projects and attend business‑development meetings with new and existing clients Provide direct oversight and management of junior staff for specific project assignments; coach, train, and motivate staff assigned to environmental projects; participate in interviewing and hiring staff Coordinate other work groups across office locations and disciplines on an as‑needed basis Interface effectively and professionally with clients, contractors, subcontractors, staff, project personnel, supervisors, and others Perform other duties as requested Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Environmental Engineering (Master’s degree a plus) LEED AP or PE certification 6+ years of related work experience Proficient in environmental due diligence Knowledge of quantitative/technical analyses and related software; demonstrated ability to perform quantitative and technical analyses Hazwoper training, maintenance of annual physical and respirator fit test, and annual 8‑hr Hazwoper re‑certification Comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements Excellent public speaking, written, and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment Ability to multi‑task effectively, manage multiple projects and clients, develop and manage project budgets, and effectively manage and coach staff Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as projects require Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job‑site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing Benefits Full‑time employment with company‑paid medical, dental, and vision coverage; life insurance; short‑ and long‑term disability; paid pregnancy disability leave; 401(k) / Roth with company match; paid time off including parental and military leave; employee referral and professional license bonuses; educational reimbursement; employee resource groups; flexible work schedules; extensive training; wellness programs; buddy and mentoring programs.
