DISABILITY INSURANCE PROGRAM REPRESENTATIVE

Disability Insurance Program Representative Classification: DISABILITY INSURANCE PROGRAM REPRESENTATIVE. Salary: $4,055 - $6,310 per month (varies by level A-C). Location: 31 East Channel Street, 2nd Floor, Suite 213, Stockton, CA. Telework: Hybrid. Work Hours: 8:00 am‑5:00 pm, Monday‑Friday. Job type: Permanent, Full time. Responsibilities Determine claimant eligibility for State Disability Insurance benefits, including Disability Insurance, Paid Family Leave, and Nonindustrial Disability. Conduct fact‑finding interviews and respond to inquiries. Perform claim processing activities in accordance with laws, regulations, rules and policies. Provide prompt, accurate and courteous customer service. Develop and provide training emphasizing consistent application of law, regulation, policy and procedures, medical duration control techniques and program integrity practices. Record and maintain overpayment documents, process overpayments, and conduct follow‑up collection actions for both claimant and third‑party overpayments with appropriate documentation. Comply with office security requirements. Travel and/or overtime may be required. Minimum Requirements Knowledge of State Disability Insurance Branch programs and principles. Ability to identify and report suspected fraudulent claims and activities. Strong customer service skills. Ability to work under supervision and comply with security requirements.
