Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Per Diem Physician Assistant, you will join our dynamic healthcare team in Seattle, specializing in diagnosing and treating a wide array of Emergency Medicine cases, making a significant impact on their lives and families. You will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well‑being of our patients and their families within the Franciscan Medical Group. To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board‑certified, and compassionate Per Diem Physician Assistant, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing complex ED patients, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient‑centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment. Provide high‑quality emergency medical care, including evaluation, treatment, and disposition of patients. Work collaboratively with attending physicians to manage a broad spectrum of emergency conditions. Ensure effective patient handoffs and communication with consultants, hospitalists, and other care teams. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. Shifts are 11:00 PM – 8:00 AM. Work side‑by‑side with dedicated night Emergency Physicians on overnight shifts. 24,000 annual visits in a moderate‑acuity urban ED. Exceptional specialty support for seamless patient care. Comprehensive Stroke Center with onsite Neurohospitalists. Regional Hyperbaric Medicine Referral Center, offering unique clinical exposure. Job Requirements Required Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA‑C) with prescriptive authority in the State of Washington. Minimum one year of Emergency Medicine or Critical Care experience.
