School Counselor

Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counselor to support students at a school in Summerville, South Carolina . This is a full-time opportunity starting ASAP and continuing through the remainder of the 2026 2027 school year .

The ideal candidate will be committed to helping students achieve academic, social, emotional, and personal success while collaborating closely with teachers, administrators, families, and other school professionals.

• Provide individual and group counseling services to students.
• Support students with academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Develop and implement appropriate counseling interventions and support plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and school staff.
• Assist students with academic planning, goal setting, and post-secondary preparation.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
• Identify students who may need additional support or community resources.
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and other school activities as required.
• Follow all applicable school policies and state and federal regulations.

• Master's degree in School Counseling or a related field preferred/required based on applicable South Carolina requirements.
• Appropriate South Carolina School Counselor certification/license required.
• Previous experience working in a school setting preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, and administrators.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

• Schedule: Full-time school schedule
• Start: ASAP
• Duration: Remainder of the 2026 2027 school year
