- Conduct comprehensive assessments, order tests, and tailor individualized care plans for patients
- Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses autonomously or in collaboration with physicians as dictated by your credentials
- Guide patients and their families on preventive measures, wellness, and ongoing disease management
- Prescribe medication and therapies aligned with your practice scope
- Engage in management strategies for chronic care and conduct patient follow-ups
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive and cohesive care
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation through electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Alaska
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, or the capability to secure them within 90 days
- A strong clinical skillset combined with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Exceptional communication abilities with patients, their families, and medical teams
- Ability to thrive in dynamic, patient-focused environments
- Familiarity with EMR systems and telehealth applications
