About the Position

Job Title: Obstetrics RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nursery, LDRP, Antepartum, Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care experience as an RN License: Registered Nurse Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate, STABLE Must-Have: Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate Description: Independently provides holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for patients routinely seen in the OB unit. Demonstrates clinical competency, nursing judgment, and teaching skills. Commits to improving the quality of patient care. Independently performs general and unit-specific clinical skills. Performs the functions of an RN in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating all assigned patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse. Responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing practice. Implements and evaluates the age-appropriate care of all patients in the department. Manages supplies and equipment effectively. Promotes teamwork with physicians and personnel of the unit and other departments. Adheres to policies regarding confidentiality and advance directives. Maintains a high degree of confidentiality. Supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Successfully completes general nursing and unit orientation. Exhibits effective communication skills, both written and oral. Possesses computer skills.
