Medical Billing Specialist Medicare

Pay From: $28 per hour


MUST:
The Medicare Billing Specialist must have the following:
4+years of healthcare billing and collections experience
Strong experience with Medicare follow up and using Medicare software
Revenue cycle experience
Experience in long term care setting or nursing facility
Creating Medicare claims and submitting invoices for payment to Medicare
Reviewing submitted claims in the Medicare system for acceptance
Assessing past due accounts
Preparing reports to identify balances that cannot be collected
Reviewing and researching accounts that have not been paid and processing adjustments
Monitoring and following up on denials
Reviewing charges to ensure accuracy and confirming charges are submitted on the invoice
Entering charges into the A/R system prior claim submissions


The Duties of the Medical Billing Specialist include but are not limited to the following:
Work within Medicare Billing System
Create Medicare claims
Submit invoices for payment to Medicare
Review submitted claims in the Medicare system for acceptance
Assess and collect past due accounts
Prepare billing reports to identify balances that cannot be collected
Review and research accounts that have not been paid
Process adjustments
Monitor and follow up on denials
Review charges for accuracy and confirming charges are submitted on the invoice
Enter charges into the A/R system prior claim submissions
