Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a CCU (Critical Care) night shift position requiring active WA or compact RN licensure and critical care hospital experience.

• Critical Care Unit (CCU) in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 1845–0715
• 13-week contract
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active WA state RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Candidates holding a compact license must provide: (1) verification of suicide training and (2) verification of demographic data via Nursys e-Notify
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• NIHSS certification required
• Critical care experience in a hospital setting required
• Proof of right to work in the United States required
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include hemodynamic monitoring, phlebotomy, and IV protocol application
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment including cardiac monitors, ventilators, respirators, and oxygen pumps, and interprets readings such as central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, and cardiac rhythms
• Monitors catheters, leads, and tubing for proper placement and functioning, and initiates corrective action when monitoring or life support equipment indicates adverse symptomatology
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Provides patient and family education on illness management, post-treatment home care, medication self-administration, and rehabilitation
