Must-Have:
- Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
- Experience with multi-system organ failure
- Knowledge of IV insulin protocols
- Understanding of GI surgery
- Familiarity with chronic and acute renal failure
- Proficient in IV therapy
- Experience with CVA and acute stroke management
- Competence in managing external ventricular drains (EVD)
- Knowledge of hypothermia protocols and Arctic Sun
- Understanding of ICP monitoring
- Experience in post-neurosurgery management
- Competence with spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries
- Knowledge of respiratory and thoracic care
- Understanding of infection prevention and isolation precautions
- Proficiency in phlebotomy
- Experience with surgical wounds and wound vacs


Description:
The position is for a Registered Nurse in the ICU specialty.
The role requires working night shifts, specifically from 19:00 to 07:30.
The nurse will be responsible for high-acuity patients, including post-transplant individuals.
This includes caring for those with end-stage liver disease and end-stage renal disease.
The nurse will manage patients requiring complex care such as sepsis and multi-system organ failure.
Key procedures may involve managing ventilators, central lines, and arterial lines.
The nurse will participate in interdisciplinary support with teams such as physical therapy and respiratory services.
Experience with floating to units of equivalent or lower acuity is required.
The ideal candidate must provide supervisory references supporting their qualifications.
All candidates must have reviewed and accepted compliance requirements for the position.
No time off is allowed during the first two weeks of employment.
A successful applicant will be proactive and skilled in critical patient care management.
