Cafe Barista

Assist in the smooth daily operation of Henderson's Caf, located within the UVM Bookstore. Perform opening or closing duties on a set schedule, routinely prepare coffee and specialty drinks, operate a cash register, maintain Caf systems and displays, supervise student employees, and provide excellent customer service to customers and visitors.

High School diploma required. An understanding of basic retail practices and knowledge of computer operations required. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice and training, fostering a collaborative multicultural environment.

Familiarity with retail sales and operations desired. Experience in a fast-paced restaurant or caf experience very desirable.

Anticipated Pay Range - 18.50-19.10

Must be able to work some weekends, evenings, and occasional university holidays with occasional overtime.

Probationary period may be required, occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), this position is ineligible for telework due to the essential functions, background check required for this position.

FLSA - Non-Exempt

Union Position - Yes, UE ($18.50 minimum hourly rate)

Position will be posted for a minimum of one week, after which it is subject to removal without notice.
