Under general supervision, perform tasks of substantial variety or complexity which require a thorough knowledge of assembly techniques, tools, materials, machines, and equipment. Works from engineering drawings, rough sketches, manuals, or verbal instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic and complex assembly wiring and erection of products and systems under general supervision.
• Read and interpret engineering configuration and wiring drawings.
• Devise and utilize nonstandard procedures.
• May assign and check work of lower level personnel.
• May work nonstandard schedules and/or at off-site locations with exposure to varying environmental conditions.
• Coordinate work with other groups to ensure meeting commitments.
• Perform duties in a manner compliant with prevailing quality procedures and policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Essential Skills:

• High School degree plus 2-5 years of related experience in assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering configuration and wiring drawings.
• Proficient with assembly techniques, hand tools, power tools, and mechanical assembly.
• Ability to follow standard practices and procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Injection mold experience is a plus.
• Special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing environment with potential for nonstandard schedules and off-site work with varying environmental conditions.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract position based out of Portland, TN.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
