Rehab Unit Manager (LPN/RN)

Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our leadership team as a Unit Manager .

• Weekend rotation as needed

• Leadership position

As a Unit Manager, you'll be responsible for the clinical and operational success of your assigned nursing unit by:

• Supervising the daily operations of your nursing unit to ensure quality resident care.

• Leading, mentoring, and supporting RNs, LPNs, and Certified Nursing Assistants.

• Monitoring resident conditions and collaborating with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

• Coordinating admissions, transfers, discharges, and continuity of care.

• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and standards.

• Reviewing clinical documentation, physician orders, medication administration, and treatment records for accuracy and compliance.

• Participating in care planning, quality assurance initiatives, MDS processes, and regulatory surveys.

• Conducting daily rounds to ensure exceptional resident care and customer service.

• Coaching, developing, and evaluating nursing staff while promoting accountability and teamwork.

• Assisting with staffing, scheduling, employee education, and orientation.

• Promoting infection prevention, workplace safety, and resident rights.

• Serving as a clinical resource and role model for the nursing team.

• Current North Carolina RN or LPN license in good standing

• Minimum one (1) year of nursing supervisory or leadership experience preferred

• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations

• Ability to lead a team while maintaining exceptional resident-centered care
