Science Teacher

The Science Teacher is responsible for providing rigorous, engaging science instruction that promotes inquiry, critical thinking, and real‑world application of scientific concepts. The teacher creates a student‑centered classroom environment that supports academic excellence and prepares students for advanced science coursework. Reports To: Assistant Principal / Principal ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Plan and deliver standards‑aligned science instruction Incorporate laboratory activities, hands‑on learning, and STEM integration Differentiate instruction to support all learners Use assessment data to monitor progress and adjust instruction Maintain a safe and organized classroom and laboratory environment Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum and interdisciplinary initiatives Communicate effectively with parents and guardians Participate in professional learning and school improvement initiatives Support school‑wide academic and behavioral expectations Maintain accurate student records and compliance documentation QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related science field Valid Florida Teaching Certificate in Science (Grades 5–9 preferred) Strong instructional and classroom management skills Ability to engage middle school learners through interactive instruction PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS ESOL endorsement or certification Experience teaching middle school science labs STEM or project‑based learning experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
