Chief Human Resources Officer, Presbyterian Senior Living

Deffet Group, Inc. is pleased to have been retained by Presbyterian Senior Living to conduct an executive search for a Chief Human Resources Officer.

Presbyterian Senior Living (PSL) is one of the Mid-Atlantic’s largest not-for-profit providers of senior living and aging services. Founded in 1927, PSL is a faith-based organization committed to providing compassionate, vibrant and supportive communities and services that promote wholeness of body, mind and spirit. Headquartered in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, PSL serves more than 6,000 seniors across 30 locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio and Delaware. Its continuum of services includes independent living, personal care, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, respite care, hospice and end-of-life care, affordable housing and at-home services.

PSL is seeking a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to help shape the future of its workforce and Human Resources function. Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer and serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CHRO will lead PSL’s people strategy with a focus on attracting, developing and retaining a highly engaged, mission-driven workforce. This leader will align culture, talent, leadership development and organizational design with PSL’s strategic priorities while strengthening Human Resources as a responsive, trusted partner across the organization.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished Human Resources executive who combines strategic thinking with practical execution. This leader will bring broad HR expertise, sound business judgment and experience supporting a complex, multi-site organization. Just as important, the CHRO will be a visible and collaborative leader who builds trust, strengthens the partnership between HR and operations and develops an accountable, service-oriented HR team.

The position is primarily remote, with attendance at PSL’s corporate office in Dillsburg several times each month, as needed, along with regular travel to PSL communities. Candidates must reside, or be willing to relocate, within reasonable travel distance of Dillsburg and PSL’s Mid-Atlantic communities.
