Manufacturing Technician - (FRAC )

Job Summary The manufacturing technician is an integral part of the overall process required to convert human plasma to injectable protein therapies. The technician is responsible for the set‑up, operation and cleaning of various types of process equipment utilized to separate, purify, fill, inspect and package the protein products manufactured by Grifols. Responsibilities Responsible for equipment cleaning, set up and operation in a biologics processing environment for plasma derived pharmaceuticals. Strict adherence to procedures and practices according to FDA regulations. Strong emphasis on documentation according to FDA regulations. Adhere to departmental corporate safety policies. Responsible for facility and equipment cleaning. All work is performed in a clean room (sanitized) manufacturing environment. Perform daily tasks: cleaning/sanitizing aseptic and non‑aseptic processing areas, preparing and sterilizing filling and freeze‑drying components, and performing aseptic fills. May be trained in the freeze drying (Lyophilization) process. Utilize touch screen Operator Interface Terminals (OIT). Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree, applicable certification and/or military veteran preferred. Must be proactive, results oriented, and have strong attention to detail. Self‑starter with strong work ethic and the ability to exercise good judgment. Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet targeted deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with personnel at all levels in a team environment. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Must be flexible with working hours/shifts to accommodate the 24‑hour, 7‑day plant operation. Potential Shifts Swing: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm – Monday through Friday Graveyard: 10:00 pm to 6:30 am – Monday through Friday Weekend Grave: 6:00 pm to 6:00 am – Saturday, Sunday, and one weeknight Weekend Day: 6:00 am to 6:00 pm – Saturday, Sunday, and one weekday Occupational Demands Work is performed in a manufacturing environment or warehouse with rotating shifts. Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms; chemicals; electrical manufacturing equipment; hand tools; moving machinery; forklifts, tractors, and power equipment; high levels of noise; dust/gas/fumes/steam; extreme cold below 32 °F and occasional extreme heat above 100 °F; vibration or oscillating movements; confined spaces; kneeling, crawling, climbing, squatting; heights on scaffolding or ladders; uneven ground. Personal protective equipment required. Heavy lifting and carrying of 45 lb. for up to 6–8 hours per day, with a maximum lift of 75 lb. Work involves standing, walking, bending, twisting waist, frequent foot movements, reaching above or below shoulder height, bending or twisting neck, fast repetitive hand movements, precise coordinated movements. Hearing acuity essential. Color perception, depth perception, and vision requirements. Clear communication ability. Adherence to schedule to meet production standards. Benefits Estimated pay scale: $21–$22 per hour. Eligible to participate in up to 5 % of the company bonus pool.
