Job Title: Cleanroom Medical Assembly Technician Job Description

This role involves assembling neurosurgical sponges in a cleanroom environment using a thread and sewing needle. You will perform highly repetitive, detail-oriented work on a production line, following written work instructions to ensure consistent quality and compliance for medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Assemble neurosurgical sponges using a thread and sewing needle in a cleanroom environment.
• Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures for medical device assembly.
• Perform repetitive production tasks with consistent accuracy and quality.
• Use basic hand tools and manual dexterity to complete fine, precise assembly steps.
• Inspect assembled components visually to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation in accordance with cleanroom protocols.
• Document work as required and follow all production line processes and schedules.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or defects to the appropriate personnel.
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements associated with medical device production.
• Arrive on time and maintain reliable attendance to support continuous production operations.

Essential Skills

• Experience working in a cleanroom or controlled production environment.
• Proven ability to perform repetitive tasks with strong attention to detail.
• Manual hand dexterity and fine motor skills for using a sewing needle and thread.
• Ability to follow written work instructions accurately and consistently.
• Familiarity with medical device assembly or general production line work.
• Comfort using basic hand tools in a production or assembly setting.
• Demonstrated reliability and good attendance record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in medical device assembly is a plus.
• Background in sewing or other fine, hand-based work is beneficial.
• Experience working with work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a structured, repetitive production environment.

Work Environment

This position is based in a cleanroom medical device production facility. You will work on a production line performing assembly tasks under controlled, hygienic conditions and must follow all cleanroom protocols, including any required gowning and attire specific to the environment. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the first day starting at 8:30 a.m. The work is repetitive and hands-on, requiring sustained focus, careful handling of small components, and adherence to detailed work instructions throughout the shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beverly, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
