Travel Nursing Job Details Location: Wausau, Wisconsin Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,110-$2,220 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: November 30, 2026 Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Weekend and Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday Electronic Health Record: Recent Epic experience required Unit: Medical and Pediatrics; travel nurses will care for adult patients only Medical-Surgical Travel RN Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin At least 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience Previous Level II trauma experience strongly preferred Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Associate degree or nursing certificate required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Recent Epic electronic health record experience Ability to float to inpatient units as needed Strong communication, organization, clinical judgment, and adaptability Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment Manage care for patients with respiratory illness, stroke, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal conditions, diabetes, renal failure, sepsis, wound care needs, infectious diseases, and acute alcohol withdrawal Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards Coordinate care with providers, ancillary departments, patients, and families Prioritize assignments and manage patient needs effectively during 12-hour night shifts Float to other inpatient units when needed while maintaining high standards of patient care Promote a positive patient experience through collaboration, timely communication, and professional nursing practice Apply now to join this Medical-Surgical travel nursing team in Wausau, Wisconsin.
