This position has typical work hours Monday – Friday from 8AM – 5:00PM

Job Summary:

The IT Specialist manages daily technical operations, maintains network infrastructure, and resolves user hardware and software issues. This role requires technical expertise in Windows environments, virtualization tools, and legacy database connections.

Essential Functions and Tasks:

• System Support: Configure, maintain, and upgrade Windows Server 2016-2025 systems.
• Virtualization: Deploy, monitor, and optimize virtual machines using VMware.
• Database Access: Configure and troubleshoot client terminal connections to AS400.
• End-User Help: Resolve issues with MS Office products, printers, and hardware.
• Network Care: Monitor daily server backups, system logs, and security protocols.
• IT Help Desk: Process and resolve IT help desk tickets in a professional and timely manner while maintaining accurate documentation, ticket records, and system logs to ensure effective issue tracking and service delivery.

• Any other duties assigned by the IT Systems and Support Supervisor

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and VMware environments
• Practical experience managing Windows 11, Windows Server 2016-2025 and AS400 connectivity
• Strong troubleshooting skills for office printers, workstations, and peripherals
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology is a plus

Required Physical Abilities:

Physical requirements of this position may require a range of activities. These can include, but are not limited to:

• Lifting and carrying – the ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights, which may vary by job. For example, a job may require lifting up 25-50lbs regularly.
• Standing and walking – this position will require standing and walking for periods of time
• Bending and stooping – bending, stooping, or crouching are requiring to effectively preform essential duties of this position.
• Reaching and pushing/pulling – the ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment will be necessary for daily activities.
• Sitting – there will be times this position will be needed to sit for prolonged periods of time.
• This position will also be required to operate certain machinery and other equipment safely.

Work Environment:

This position will require employees to work in certain weather conditions, such as heat, cold, as well as potentially confined spaces.
