Specimen Collector

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnered with a much-respected facility in Massachusetts who is currently seeking a qualified Phlebotomist to assist them on a contractual basis.

Details of the position include:

Position Title: Phlebotomist

Location(s): Chelmsford, MA

Schedule Details:

• 40 hours/week Monday-Friday

• 9:45 AM - 6:15 PM or 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

• No weekends

• No major holidays

Department/Setting:

• Outpatient Lab

• All patient populations (newborn through geriatric)

Job Description:

• Patient-facing direct care position performing venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures.

• Release lab orders and distribute collection kits.

• Educate patients on self-collection procedures.

• Perform fingerstick INRs and other point-of-care testing procedures.

Start Date: ASAP upon clearance

Contract Duration: 13 weeks (extension likely)

Contract Requirements:

• 1+ years of phlebotomy experience

• 1+ years of pediatric blood draw experience

• Newborn blood draw experience preferred but willing to train

• Processing experience not required Phlebotomy certification preferred but not required

• Reliable local commute strongly preferred

• BLS certification by start date

Pay Information: $26/hour $1,040 weekly gross
