*Front Desk Patient Service Specialist (Physical Therapy Clinic)* *Location:* Ballston, VA (near Metro)
*Schedule:** Monday - Thursday: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
* Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
*Overview* We are seeking a highly organized, customer-focused *Front Desk Patient Service Specialist (PSS)* to join our busy Physical Therapy clinic. This role is critical to maintaining a smooth patient experience and supporting our clinical team. You will be the face of the clinic-welcoming patients, managing front desk operations, and ensuring exceptional service throughout every interaction.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Greet patients and manage *check-in and check-out processes*
* Perform *patient registration*, verify information, and maintain accurate records
* Schedule and confirm *follow-up appointments*
* Provide excellent *customer service* to all patients and visitors
* Answer and manage a high volume of *incoming phone calls*
* Assist patients with general inquiries and needs
* Accurately *document physician notes* in the EMR system
* Balance multiple priorities including:
* Patient interactions at the front desk
* Phone communication
* Administrative tasks on the computer * Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure efficient operations
*Daily Activity Breakdown:** Phones: ~33%
* Computer/Documentation: ~33%
* Patient-facing support: ~33%
*Qualifications*
* Strong *customer service skills* (top priority)
* Comfortable working with computers and data entry systems
* (Candidates will complete a medical data entry assessment)
* Ability to *multi-task* in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility
*Work Environment*
* Fast-paced, patient-centered physical therapy clinic
* Work closely with *3 physicians and clinical staff*
* *Solo front desk role*-dependability is essential for opening and closing daily operations
