Cardiology Opportunity At Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Waxahachie

The Physician HTPN examines and treats patients with a wide range of conditions, takes patient histories, requests diagnostic tests, makes diagnoses, prescribes treatment, administers vaccinations, performs follow-up examinations, and educates patients in disease prevention and health maintenance. The Physician HTPN will supervise the clinical activities of allied health professionals and advanced practice professionals.

Essential functions of the role include:

• Examining, collecting, recording, and maintaining patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
• Prescribing or administering treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
• Ordering, performing, and interpreting tests and analyzing records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients' conditions.
• Working as part of a clinical team in decision making around tests, diagnoses, and treatment options for patients with illnesses or diseases.
• Monitoring patient conditions and progress and reevaluating treatments as necessary.

Specialty duties include:

• Diagnosing and treating conditions in the area of specialty.
• May work in a hospital, specialty clinic, or outpatient surgical center.
• May perform surgical procedures, treatment, or non-invasive procedures in the area of specialty.
• May create post-operative care plans and recommend lifestyle changes involving diet, exercise, and other matters.
• Supervising the clinical activities of a care team that may consist of other providers and allied health professionals.
