Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient setting, requiring an active state PT license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Outpatient Physical Therapy setting
• Schedule of 4-10 hour days or 5-8 hour days per week
• No weekends or holidays required
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program
• Valid state license to practice required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple priorities independently
• Able to perform heavy work, exerting up to 50-100 lbs of force occasionally

Additional Information

• Responsible for evaluating patients, establishing treatment goals, and carrying out and documenting treatment plans
• May supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Attendants per state regulations
• May mentor volunteers and/or students in line with department guidelines and APTA standards
• Exposure to electrical and mechanical equipment, blood, chemicals, and infectious disease possible
• Personal protective equipment used per hospital isolation protocols
