Location: Carlstadt, NJ

Shift: First Shift 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM M-F

This role focuses on shipping and receiving activities within a warehouse environment, including staging plastic rolls using manual processes, operating forklifts, preparing orders, loading trucks, and maintaining accurate inventory records. You will support the shipping coordinator, handle labeling and documentation, and help ensure that all outbound and inbound materials move efficiently and safely through the facility.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and documentation against shipping and receiving procedures.
• Use manual processes to stage plastic rolls and prepare them for storage or shipment in an organized and efficient manner.
• Operate a forklift to move, load, and unload materials, following all safety guidelines and warehouse protocols.
• Stage orders accurately according to pick lists and shipping schedules to ensure timely departures.
• Load trucks by hand when required, ensuring products are secure and protected during transit.
• Perform manual inventory counts and assist with inventory control to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Print and apply labels for shipments and inventory items, ensuring all materials are clearly and correctly identified.
• Assist the shipping coordinator with daily tasks, including documentation, scheduling, and resolving shipping or receiving issues.
• Follow logistics and packing procedures to prepare materials for shipment, including proper packaging and palletizing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and adhere to all PPE and safety requirements.

Essential Skills

• 1–2 years of warehouse experience in a shipping, receiving, or inventory-related role.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and basic logistics processes.
• Experience with inventory control and manual inventory counting.
• Ability to use manual processes to stage materials such as plastic rolls safely and efficiently.
• Basic computer knowledge to support labeling, documentation, and inventory tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to work extended hours during the first shift as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience is a plus and may be used regularly in this role.
• Experience with packing and staging orders for shipment.
• Familiarity with printing labels and using basic warehouse software or systems.
• Comfort working in a logistics or distribution environment with varying workloads.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlstadt, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.29 - $20.29/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
