Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Registered Nurse specializing in Perioperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) services. This role involves delivering direct patient care through the nursing process, demonstrating clinical expertise, and adhering to professional ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to established safety protocols including infection control, safe patient handling, and critical lab notifications to maintain a secure care environment.
• Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and provide education to patients and families, all within established policies to ensure quality outcomes.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor status, enhance safety, and communicate vital information to the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and quality measures to support compliance.
• Effectively communicate with physicians, team members, patients, and families to improve care experiences and outcomes.
• Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability.
• Adapt positively to healthcare dynamics and pursue continuous professional development.

Education:

Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Experience:

At least one year of healthcare experience is preferred.

Certifications and Licenses:

Current RN license in a Compact State or the state of employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Requires considerable mental focus. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs., with frequent walking, standing, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching.

Working Conditions:

Frequent exposure to infectious and communicable diseases. Occasional encounters with hostile individuals. Minimal physical discomfort expected.
