Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience and AHA ACLS/PALS certification.

Details

• Respiratory Therapy department in a hospital setting
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 6:00pm-6:30am
• No on-call requirements
• Preferred experience with Epic charting system
• Cares for adult critical care and emergency department patients
• Experience with ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Manages patients with ARDS, COVID, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis, and fresh tracheostomy
• Performs arterial blood gas draws and interpretation
• Administers medications including Albuterol, Atrovent, and inhaled steroids

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• RRT preferred, CRT will be considered
• AHA ACLS and PALS certification required
• AHA BLS certification required
• AHA certification is the only accepted form for ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• License required if applicable
• Must complete Relias EKG testing within 72 hours of signing
• Must complete drug screening 12-14 calendar days prior to start
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit testing guidelines

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and chest physiotherapy
• General orientation begins on Mondays with online coursework
• Approximately 4-5 hours of non-billable training modules completed during orientation
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Candidates must reside 100 miles or more from the facility's service area
• Local candidates will not be accepted
