Job Title: Nurse Manager – Inpatient Crisis Stabilization Unit (50 Beds) Location: Harbor Pines – Melbourne, FL Department: Nursing Services Reports To: Chief Nursing Officer Position Summary Circles of Care, Inc. is seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Manager to lead Harbor Pines our 50-bed Inpatient Crisis Stabilization Unit. The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical and administrative operations of the unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care for individuals experiencing acute psychiatric and behavioral health crises. This role provides leadership, supervision, and support to nursing staff while promoting a therapeutic, safe, and recovery-focused environment. The Nurse Manager works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in behavioral health care. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and clinical oversight for the nursing staff within the Crisis Stabilization Unit. Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals experiencing psychiatric or behavioral health crises. Supervise, coach, and mentor nursing staff to promote professional development and high performance. Monitor and ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements. Participate in performance improvement initiatives, audits, and quality assurance activities. Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, and other treatment team members to coordinate care. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards for behavioral health facilities. Assist in staff recruitment, orientation, training, and competency evaluations. Address staff concerns, resolve conflicts, and promote a positive team culture. Respond to patient and family concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida (or eligible for licensure). Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred. 3–5 years of nursing experience in behavioral health or psychiatric care. Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Experience working in crisis stabilization, inpatient psychiatry, or acute behavioral health settings strongly preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to effectively manage high-acuity psychiatric populations. Knowledge of regulatory standards, quality improvement, and risk management in behavioral health.
