FLSA Status: Non-exempt Summary: Under General supervision, work on the production line to build manufactured housing, as part of a team, and perform quality work in a fast-moving and consistent manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Performs all manual labor in the area to which assigned. Keeps area neat and clean. Reads and uses a tape measure Reads blueprints and orders Communicate well with coworkers Uses hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools May be required to travel if needed to work on frames that are hauling our homes. Competencies Must have a strong work ethic Must have the ability to work quickly and methodically Must understand safety procedures Must have good teamwork skills Must live the Champion Operating Principles Qualifications Mig/Arc Welding experience required Some fabrication/design skills/experience required Previous experience in manufacturing/modular housing preferred but not required Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
