Part-Time BartenderAtkins Golf Club, located in Urbana, IL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Bartender! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.Role: Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less. Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour General Purpose: Makes and serves guests delicious beverages in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism. Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.Key Responsibilities:Stocks bar, mixes, and serves alcoholic beverages; assists in cost control, inventory, and maintaining inventory recordsAssists department leaders with the creation of seasonal cocktails and development of the menuAssists department leaders with the social media schedule and creation of contentMaintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products; communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are neededEnsures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by managementCommunicates guest requests and concerns to the Department ManagerPerforms opening and closing duties that include, but are not limited to: inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restockingAccountable for checks and cash transactions; utilizes Point of Sale SystemReviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special eventsServes catered parties from service or portable barsOn occasion serves meals to guestsIncorporates safe work practices in job performanceMaintains regular and reliable attendancePerforms other duties as requiredMinimum Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Requirements: Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems (e.g., POSITOUCH and MICROS).Physical Demands: Frequently stands, walks, talks, listens, and uses hands. Regularly reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, tastes, smells, and sits. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds.
