As an Access Control Officer at a busy retail location, you will help manage entry points, monitor access activity, respond to alarm notifications, and provide welcoming customer service to employees, visitors, and shoppers. You will use technology to support security-related operations, maintain a visible presence that helps deter incidents, and communicate clearly with site personnel. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to store associates, shoppers, vendors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct deliveries, contractors, and guests in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-related incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, receiving areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports for incidents, access activity, policy violations, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
