DevOps OpenShift Engineer

Contract & Location Contract: 6+ months (possible extensions). Location: NYC, NY – Onsite. Must be local to NYC or within commuting distance. Job Description We are seeking an experienced OpenShift Engineer to manage and administer RedHat OpenShift Container Platform services. The ideal candidate will work closely with development teams to containerize applications, support CI/CD pipelines, and ensure platform security and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Manage and administer RedHat OpenShift Container Platform services Collaborate with development teams to containerize applications Address vulnerabilities identified in static/dynamic scans and container registry scans Configure authentication methods, RBAC roles, permissions, and user account management Evaluate and recommend efficiencies using OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt) Design, deploy, and configure OpenShift environments Implement application containerization and orchestration solutions Modify Jenkins jobs and adjust CI/CD pipelines as needed Work with developers to understand and migrate existing workflows Develop automation using Python and Shell scripting Support and maintain multiple OpenShift clusters (approximately 400–500 nodes) Collaborate with application development teams Monitor and observe using tools such as DataDog (nice to have) Required Skills & Experience Strong hands‑on experience with RedHat OpenShift administration Expertise in application containerization and orchestration Experience with Jenkins pipeline modifications Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting Solid understanding of RBAC, authentication, and security best practices Experience troubleshooting vulnerabilities from security scans Ability to work closely with developers in an Agile environment Nice to Have Experience with DataDog monitoring Knowledge of OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt) #J-18808-Ljbffr Infoway Software
