The starting pay range for this position per hour is $25.00 - $27.00. The full pay range for this position per hour is $25.00 - $42.50

A team of specialized consultants who understand what it means to meet our guests where they are at and deliver for them through strong operations, incredible guest experience and compelling visual merchandising presentations that inspire guests and build the basket.

The Style team is passionate about Apparel and Accessories (A&A), brings the energy of style to life with compelling in-store presentations that enable quick and easy self-discovery. They are welcoming and helpful in meeting guests needs on the sales floor and in the fitting room and have resources to provide assistance with outfitting, accessorizing and building the basket to drive top line sales.

• Guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest-first culture on your team

• Retailbusiness fundamentals,includingdepartment sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns,pricingand promotions strategies

• Planning department(s) daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals

• Leading a team of hourly team members,including skills inhelping withselecting, developing, coaching,evaluatingandretainingtalent

A s a Style Team Leader, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

• Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience.

• Ensures every team member understands, is trained, and consistentlydelivers onTarget’s guest experience commitmentsandconsistentoperations.

• Actively observes and provides feedback, holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest experience moments.

• Reviews area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics toidentifyopportunities,takes action to improve, andaligns team on the right behaviors and execution, celebrates wins, drives results that deliver outcomes and elevates the guest experience.

• Understand sales goals, plan daily/weekly workload at the direction of your directleader, andexecute the same to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement,including merchandising, pricing workload, make changes to salesfloor merchandise displays,sales plans,eventsand promotions.

• With directleaderguidance, lead a team of consultants who are knowledgeable and passionate about Apparel & Accessories by ensuring they are educated on our brands and assortment offerings.

• Lead anddemonstratea safety culture through modeling and recognizing safe behaviors,identifyingand correcting hazards, holding team accountable to following safety expectations,assistingwith incident response, and reporting/investigating injuriestimelyand accurately.

• With directleaderguidance, lead the apparel backroom process, includingsort, backroom organization,andreplenishment of thesalesfloorin support of replenishment,fulfillmentandguest needs.

• Plan and validatefloorpadsets by ensuring visual merchandising guides, transitions, revisions,andsales plans are setaccuratelyand teams are following remerchandising best practices as needed to support a guest readyfloorpad.

• Establish routines to ensure fitting rooms are welcoming, clean, and safe for our team members andguests.

• Lead anddemonstratea culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding and learning; help close skill gaps through development,coachingand team interactions.

• Model the execution of physical security processesin order toenhance the instore security culture.

• Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store, including storageand application as directed by best practices.

• Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches, being authenticand respectful, and creatingequitableexperiences.

• If applicable, as a key carrier, follow all safe and secure training and processes.

• Occasionally assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities to enable the guest experience for the store during assigned shifts based on store needs

• Addressall store emergency and compliance needs

• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) andmaintaina compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and localadult beveragelaws.

• All other dutiesbasedon business needs.

The good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a Style Lead. But , there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older

• Previousretail experience preferred, but notrequired

• Lead and hold others accountable

• Learn and adapt to current technology needs

• Work independently and as part of a team

• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently

• Welcoming and helpful attitudetoward all guests and other team members

• Effective communication skills

• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment andaccomplishmultiple tasks within establishedtimeframes

• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices andoperatehandheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed

• Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues

• Interpret instructions,reportsand information

• Accurately handle cash register operationsas needed

• Climb up and down laddersas needed

• Scan,handleand move merchandise efficiently and safely, includingfrequentlylifting or moving merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise and fixtures up to 44 pounds withoutadditionalassistance from others

• Flexiblework schedule (e.g., nights,weekendsand holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary

• Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.

• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).
