Position Overview
Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is seeking a Dental Receptionist to join a local dental office. This position will be responsible for creating a welcoming experience for patients while managing appointments, check-in and check-out, payments, and patient information. The ideal candidate will be friendly, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy front-office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and manage the check-in and check-out process
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments
- Maintain an accurate and efficient daily schedule
- Collect and process patient payments accurately
- Maintain and update patient and insurance information
- Answer phones and assist patients with questions
- Help minimize scheduling errors and keep appointments running smoothly
- Protect patient confidentiality and sensitive information
- Follow established office policies and procedures
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to patients and families
- Previous dental or healthcare front-office experience preferred
- Pediatric dental experience is a plus but not required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Comfortable scheduling appointments and collecting payments
- Strong computer and data-entry skills
- Ability to learn dental practice management software
- Professional, friendly, and dependable
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy office environment
- Part-time, Monday-Thursday schedule
- No Fridays
- Ideal for someone who enjoys working with patients and providing excellent customer service
- Previous dental experience is preferred but not required
