Construction Inspector

Overview Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our growing team in Bridgeport, West Virginia. This is an opportunity to work on a steady pipeline of local site development and infrastructure projects, with minimal travel and consistent year-round work. Responsibilities Perform field testing and inspection of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials to ensure compliance with project specifications Operate field equipment such as nuclear density gauges and other testing tools Document daily field activities, test results, and observations through clear and accurate reporting Review and interpret construction plans and specifications to support inspection activities Communicate regularly with project managers, contractors, and project teams to maintain project quality and progress Maintain and calibrate field equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results Travel locally to job sites using company-provided vehicles Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 1+ years of experience testing and/or inspecting soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregates or similar materials Ability to read and interpret construction plans and project specifications Strong attention to detail and ability to complete accurate field documentation Valid driver’s license required Concrete Field Testing Technician (CTTF), ACI, ICC, or Nuclear Density Gauge Certifications are a plus Applicants must be legally authorized to work for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc.
