Job Responsibilities
York Technical College, a member of the South Carolina Technical and Comprehensive Education System, is a public, two-year institution of higher education that offers a variety of associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Through maximizing student success, the College seeks to contribute to the economic growth and development of York, Lancaster, and Chester counties and of the State.

The Admissions Coordinator performs the following functions:
- Prospective Student Recruitment & Outreach - Recruit prospective students through campus tours, high school visits, college fairs, information sessions, and virtual events. Serve as a primary point of contact for new student inquiries. Represent the college at recruitment and outreach events to engage prospective students and community partners. Support outreach efforts for designated student types, including first-time-in-college, transfer, and students transitioning from dual enrollment.
- Admissions Advising & Application Support - Guide prospective students through the admissions process, including application completion, residency determination, and placement requirements. Provide accurate information regarding academic programs, career pathways, and enrollment timelines. Assist students in understanding admissions requirements and next steps toward enrollment.
- Enrollment Navigation & Registration Support - Coordinate with Academic Advising, Financial Aid, the Registrar's Office, and Academic Divisions to support student enrollment. Assist students with course selection, registration processes, and understanding academic requirements. Monitor application and enrollment progress, following up with students to resolve outstanding steps.
- Communication & Student Engagement - Conduct proactive communication via phone, email, text, and CRM campaigns. Maintain timely, student-centered responses to inquiries. Document interactions and update student records in the SIS system and CRM. Partner with Enrollment Communications to ensure consistent messaging.
- Data Tracking & Reporting - Track recruitment, application, and enrollment activity using SIS and CRM systems. Monitor enrollment trends and support reporting for admissions and enrollment planning. Use data insights to improve recruitment strategies and student engagement.
- College & Departmental Collaboration - Participate in admissions, recruitment, and enrollment initiatives supporting institutional goals. Collaborate with Academic Affairs, Student Services, and Marketing to support recruitment and onboarding efforts.
- Bachelor's degree
- At least three years of recent experience in college admissions, recruitment, enrollment services, advising, or a related student-services field
- Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, Admissions Counseling, or a related discipline
